RSVP and check in to local meetups during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global to unlock free Link Charges and Poké Balls for every Trainer.

To celebrate Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global (July 11-12), Niantic has launched a community-wide Mega Mewtwo Meet-Up Challenge. Hit two worldwide goals by RSVP'ing and checking in to local meetups, and every Trainer earns redeemable codes for Link Charges and Poké Balls.

The two community goals

  • 750,000 RSVPs - July 7 (midnight) to July 11 (10:00 a.m. local time). Reward: 100 Link Charges + 15 Poké Balls.
  • 750,000 Check-Ins - July 11 (6:00 a.m.) to July 12 (8:00 p.m. local time). Reward: 100 Link Charges + 15 Poké Balls.
Reach both goals

That is a combined 200 Link Charges and 30 Poké Balls for the whole community - exactly enough Link Charges to enter one remote Super Mega Raid.

Why 200 Link Charges is the magic number

Link Charges are the currency used to enter Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids in place of a Premium Battle Pass, and they are required to join these raids remotely. A Super Mega Raid costs 200 Link Charges - exactly what both goals award together. That matters because Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y debut in Super Mega Raids this weekend: Mega Mewtwo X on Saturday July 11, Mega Mewtwo Y on Sunday July 12. Complete both goals and you will have banked enough to jump into one Super Mega Raid remotely.

How to take part

  1. RSVP to a Community Celebration or local meetup through the official link for your city before the July 11 deadline.
  2. Check in at your meetup during the event weekend (this also grants Timed Research with a Pokémon encounter and items).
  3. Redeem the reward codes once the goals are met - watch the official Pokémon GO channels and the in-game news.

Where to meet up

Official Community Celebrations run across North America, Europe and Oceania on July 11-12, all from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. For our region the closest official celebration is Antwerp. The European and Oceanian host cities:

  • Antwerp Jul 11-12Belgium
  • Edinburgh Jul 11-12United Kingdom
  • Hamburg Jul 11-12Germany
  • Bordeaux Jul 11-12France
  • Warsaw Jul 11-12Poland
  • Barcelona Jul 11-12Spain
  • Melbourne Jul 11-12Australia

Everything else at GO Fest 2026: Global

  • Free for everyone - for the first time, GO Fest: Global is free for all Trainers who log in during the event weekend.
  • Mega Mewtwo debut - both forms can be Shiny, and every Mega Mewtwo you catch comes with at least one Mega Level already unlocked.
  • Zeraora debut - the Mythical Pokémon arrives via the event Special Research.
  • Bonuses - up to 9 free Raid Passes per day, one-hour Lure Modules, 9 hours of Party Play, boosted Shiny rates, half-cost trades and more.

RSVP and check in this week: it costs nothing, it powers up the whole community, and if the goals land you will walk into GO Fest weekend with a free ticket to a remote Super Mega Mewtwo raid.
