The house rules

What Snacknap is, what we ask of you, and what you can expect from us. Plain and fair.

Last updated 9 July 2026
In short

Snacknap is a free, independent community platform for Pokémon GO trainers. Be decent to each other, use it for what it’s for, and remember we only provide planning and communication tools — not a connection to the game. Break the rules and we may remove content or limit your account. Paid options are covered separately in our Terms of Sale.

  1. Who we are & what Snacknap is Snacknap is an independent, fan-made platform for Pokémon GO trainers, operated by JGHP BV. It offers news, live event and spawn data, and tools to find each other and coordinate raids and Remote Raids. It is a community & coordination service only: it has no technical connection to the Pokémon GO app or Niantic’s servers, and we are not affiliated with Niantic, The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures or GAME FREAK.
  2. Who can use Snacknap You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using Snacknap you confirm you meet that age and that the information you give us is accurate. If you’re under 16, we apply extra safety settings to your account (see “Messaging, blocking & reporting” below) and encourage a parent or guardian to be involved.
  3. Your account Keep your account details to yourself and your sign-in secure — you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Accounts are for individual trainers; don’t share or sell them. You can close your account any time from your settings.
  4. Being part of the community Treat other trainers with respect. Don’t harass, threaten, or discriminate; don’t post illegal, hateful or misleading content; don’t spam, scrape, or try to break, overload or abuse the platform; and don’t impersonate others. Coordinate in good faith — show up for the raids you commit to.
  5. Messaging, blocking & reporting Direct messages are for friendly coordination. Don’t send unwanted or repeated messages, spam, scams or unsolicited promotions; don’t harass, threaten, or share other trainers’ private messages or personal information; and don’t message someone who has blocked you or declined your request. You can block any trainer — which stops their messages, friend requests and follows and hides your profile from them — and report a message or conversation to us. When you report, our moderators can review the relevant messages and take proportionate action. To protect younger trainers, only mutual friends can message someone under 16, and minors can’t be added to a group chat by people they aren’t already friends with.
  6. Coordination tools & your own play Snacknap helps you plan and communicate. How you actually play Pokémon GO is up to you, and you remain responsible for following Niantic’s own Terms of Service and rules. Snacknap does not provide, and you may not use it to arrange, any automation, bots, spoofing, account-sharing for cheating, or other activity that breaks the game’s rules.
  7. Your content & moderation You keep ownership of what you post (messages, profile info, reports). You give us permission to store and show it as needed to run the service. To keep Snacknap safe and useful, we may remove content (including a private message that’s reported to us), close lobbies, and warn, limit, suspend or ban accounts that break these terms — proportionately, and using human judgement for the serious steps.
  8. Supporting Snacknap (paid options) Snacknap is free. Optional boosts, subscriptions and passes let you support the project. Everything about buying, prices, delivery, cancellation and refunds lives in our Terms of Sale and Right of Withdrawal.
  9. Intellectual property Pokémon and all related names, images and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Snacknap uses them only to inform the community, as an independent fan project, and claims no ownership over them. Our own design, code and original content remain ours.
  10. No guarantees, and our liability We build Snacknap with care but offer it “as is”. Event data, spawn stats and coordination features can be incomplete, delayed or unavailable, and meet-ups depend on other trainers. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for missed raids, in-game outcomes, or issues arising from how you or others use the platform. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Dutch law.
  11. Changes to these terms We may update these terms as Snacknap evolves. If we make a significant change, we’ll flag it. Continuing to use Snacknap after a change means you accept the updated terms.
  12. Which law applies, and how to reach us These terms are governed by Dutch law. Questions or concerns? Email [email protected] or see our Company Details.
Not sure how a rule applies to you? Ask us — we’d rather explain than surprise you.
