Shiny Snom makes its Pokémon GO debut during the Summer Marathon!
You can find Shiny Snom by completing GO Pass tasks and by hatching 5 km Eggs. If you're lucky, its shining icy sparkle could be yours for the first time.
Event-themed Pokémon appear more often in the wild throughout the Summer Marathon.
Two pairs of featured Pokémon trade off on alternating days (shown below). If you're lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
On the event's final day, Monday, August 10, all four alternating Pokémon appear.
The following event-themed Pokémon hatch from 5 km Eggs during the Summer Marathon.
Snom hatched from these Eggs can be Shiny — one of the two ways to catch the debuting Shiny Snom.
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available during the Summer Marathon.
Complete these tasks to earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon — including Ponyta, Slugma, Snover, Vanillite, and more. Each of these encounters has a chance to be Shiny.
A free Timed Research opportunity is available during the Summer Marathon.
Complete it to earn 16,800 XP and an encounter with a Pikachu wearing a marathon visor — which, if you're lucky, could be Shiny. The tasks must be completed and their rewards claimed before Monday, August 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time — the specific tasks are revealed in-game.
