Mega Starmie makes its Pokémon GO debut in Super Mega Raids on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

During this six-hour window, Super Mega Raid Battles featuring Mega Starmie will appear at certain Gyms. Gather a large group of Trainers to take them on — and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Starmie!

Mega Starmie, the Mysterious Pokémon, makes its Pokémon GO debut!

Super Mega Raid Battles let large groups of Trainers take on Mega Starmie together. It appears only at certain Gyms.

Starmie caught from Super Mega Raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked and an increased chance to be Shiny.

Note: the official Mega Starmie artwork has not been released yet — the regular Starmie sprite is shown as a placeholder until it is available.

A free Timed Research will be available to Trainers during the event. Complete the research tasks to earn a Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Scizor.

Timed Research expires. The tasks must be completed and their rewards claimed before the Timed Research ends.
