Field Research

Complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with the following Pokémon. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
GO Pass: A Shockingly Good Time will be available during the event, offering a free progression track with rewards that unlock as you earn GO Points.
All Trainers will automatically receive the GO Pass on Tuesday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. local time. By completing Pass Tasks and collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank and earn rewards until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
During the final weekend of the event, there will be no daily cap on GO Points. From Saturday, April 4, at 12:00 a.m. until Monday, April 6, at 7:59 p.m. local time, Trainers can earn unlimited GO Points.
For US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe to unlock upgraded rewards and faster progression.
For US$6.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), Trainers can purchase GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks, which instantly provides enough GO Points to reach Rank 7.
Trainers progressing through GO Pass Deluxe can claim rewards from both the free GO Pass and the Deluxe track. Upgrading at any point will still allow you to collect rewards from ranks you have already unlocked.
Rewards earned through GO Pass: A Shockingly Good Time must be claimed before Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 7:59 p.m. local time.

As you increase your GO Pass rank, you can earn encounters with featured Pokémon and useful items.

The GO Pass Deluxe will also be available through the Pokémon GO Web Store.
Purchasing GO Pass Deluxe: A Shockingly Good Time via the Web Store will activate the pass automatically when the GO Pass event begins.
Trainers who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: A Shockingly Good Time or GO Pass Deluxe: A Shockingly Good Time + 6 Ranks through the Web Store will receive the following bonus items as a gift with purchase.
