Pokemon Debuts

Several Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region will make their Pokémon GO debuts during this event.

  • Blipbug
  • Dottler
  • Orbeetle

Blipbug can evolve as follows:

  • 25 Blipbug Candy to evolve Blipbug into Dottler
  • 100 Blipbug Candy to evolve Dottler into Orbeetle

Trainers will need to collect Blipbug Candy to complete the full evolution line.

Shiny Debut

Sizzlipede and Centiskorch will make their Pokemon GO Shiny Debut.

Lure Module Encounters

During the event, regular Lure Modules will attract a different pool of Pokémon.

In addition, certain Pokémon attracted by regular Lure Modules will have boosted Shiny odds:

  • Paras
  • Combee
  • Cutiefly

These Pokémon will have an increased chance of being Shiny when encountered from regular Lure Modules.

Complete these Field Research tasks to earn items and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

GO Pass: Bug Out 2026

The GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for the Bug Out event will be available for a limited time.

Both versions will be accessible in Pokémon GO from Tuesday, March 17, at 10:00 a.m. until Monday, March 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe

The Bug Out GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track that lets Trainers earn rewards by collecting GO Points and ranking up.

All Trainers will automatically receive the GO Pass for Bug Out on Tuesday, March 17, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can earn GO Points and rank up to unlock rewards until Monday, March 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Optional paid upgrades are available:

  • GO Pass Deluxe (US$4.99) – Includes upgraded rewards and faster progression.
  • GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks (US$6.99) – Instantly grants enough GO Points to reach Rank 7.

Upgrading to GO Pass Deluxe allows Trainers to claim rewards from both the free GO Pass and the Deluxe track. You can upgrade at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

All rewards must be claimed before Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Prices are listed in USD or the equivalent tier in your local currency.

Any GO Pass Deluxe purchased via the Web Store will activate automatically when the GO Pass begins.
