Complete Field Research to unlock Research Breakthrough encounters with one of the following Pokémon.
Field Research tasks awarding Mega energy for different Pokémon will be available each month. Throughout the season, certain Field Research tasks will award Diancie Mega energy.
About Research Breaktrough
The Research Breakthrough reward is earned by completing Field Research tasks for seven consecutive days. You can get these tasks from PokéStops or during special events. After seven days, you receive a reward, usually consisting of items like Poké Balls, Stardust, and the chance to catch a rare Pokémon, which changes each season.
