Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y make their Pokémon GO debut in Super Mega Raids on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

During this three-hour window, Super Mega Raid Battles featuring Mega Raichu will appear at certain Gyms. Gather a large group of Trainers to take them on — and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Raichu!

Super Mega Raid — Mega Raichu X & Y Debut

Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, the Mouse Pokémon, make their Pokémon GO debut!

Super Mega Raid Battles let large groups of Trainers take on Mega Raichu together. They appear only at certain Gyms.

Raichu caught from Super Mega Raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked and an increased chance to be Shiny.

A free Timed Research will be available during the event, rewarding a Premium Battle Pass, an encounter with Steelix, 200 Steelix Candy, 10 Steelix Candy XL, 5,000 Stardust and 3 Charged TMs upon completion.

Raid Day is a special event where a particular Pokémon is available in raids for a few hours. Players can catch this Pokémon and usually have an increased chance of encountering a Shiny. Extra raid passes and bonus XP are often available during this event.
