Choose Your Path: Charged Embers runs from Tuesday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. to Friday, July 3, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Choose Your Path Timed Research is a new way to play during non-event weeks, giving you the freedom to explore Pokémon GO your way. Select one of three paths — Explore, Catch or Battle — and your choice shapes the Timed Research tasks and bonuses you receive throughout the week.

Please note: Timed Research expires. Complete all tasks and claim all rewards before the event ends.

At the start of the event you choose one of three paths. Your choice shapes the Timed Research tasks and bonuses you receive throughout the week:

Explore
Catch
Battle

Please note: once selected, your path cannot be changed. You may have different research opportunities than other Trainers.

The exact Timed Research tasks, rewards and bonuses for each path have not yet been detailed by Niantic and may differ per Trainer. We will update this page once more information is available.
