Pokémon GO Wild*Ticket-holding Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon. Shiny Pokémon are not guaranteed by purchasing a ticket.
**For this bonus to apply, Trainers must first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu. Trainers can collect Max Particles via the Nearby menu each day by exploring. Adventure Sync can help make sure your distance counts! Keep an eye on the Nearby menu for the icon that shows when Max Particles are ready to collect.
***Ticket-holding Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m local time on event days!

Grimmsnarl makes its Pokémon GO debut!
Ready for a little mischief? This year’s GO Wild Area event will feature the global Pokémon GO debuts of Impidimp, Morgrem, and Grimmsnarl!
On your ticketed event day, Impidimp*, the Wily Pokémon, will appear in the wild and hatch from 5 km Eggs!
You can use 25 Impidimp Candy to evolve Impidimp into Morgrem and 100 Impidimp Candy to evolve Morgrem into Grimmsnarl.
Rescue Shadow Darkrai from Team GO Rocket!
They’re at it again! Team GO Rocket is venturing into the GO Wild Area this year, and they’ve brought Shadow Darkrai with them for the first time in Pokémon GO!
On Saturday, Shadow Cresselia will appear in Shadow Raids. On Sunday, Shadow Darkrai will appear in Shadow Raids. Plus, you can encounter Shiny Shadow Cresselia and Shiny Shadow Darkrai—if you’re lucky!

Look out for a new Special Background!
Trainers who participate in raids and Max Battles during Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global will have a chance to receive a new Special Background after making a successful catch. This souvenir background will appear on the Pokémon’s summary page, showing when the Pokémon was caught and commemorating your adventures during Pokémon GO Wild Area!
During the event, Shadow Cresselia, Shadow Darkrai, Bewear wearing a wilderness cape, and Gigantamax Grimmsnarl all have a chance to feature this exclusive Special Background!

Mighty Pokémon may appear in the wild!
Trainers may also encounter unusually powerful opponents known as mighty Pokémon! These mighty Pokémon share several common traits:
- More likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP ratings
- More likely to be XL or XXL
- More difficult to capture
Trainers may even encounter Shiny mighty Pokémon, if they’re lucky! Using the event-exclusive GO Safari Ball when trying to capture these Pokémon will greatly improve your chances of success.
Different mighty Pokémon will have a chance to appear each day. Mighty Pokémon are mighty rare—so make sure you have your GO Safari Balls ready, because you never know when one might appear!

For ticket-holding Trainers, the following Pokémon will also be attracted to Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) during both event days, in addition to the mighty Pokémon available to all Trainers!
Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, ticket-holding Trainers will have the chance to encounter Shiny Unown W from Incense—if they’re lucky!
The mighty Pokémon attracted to Incense can appear on both event days.
Special Research
Ticket-holding Trainers can claim an exclusive Special Research story when Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global begins on November 15, 2025! In this branching research, you’ll choose a path and become an expert on either Dark-type or Fairy-type Pokémon to earn one of two in-game medals.
Field Research
All Trainers will have an increased chance of receiving event-themed Field Research during the event! Complete these Field Research tasks to encounter event-themed Pokémon.
